SOBIG.F warning
Increasing speculation that the SOBIG.F virus that highjacks an email address and sends mail from it is just a prelude to a big event on Sept 11th.
This only means that it finds a published email address (as it did with out linux@sfsw.net address) and then uses that name as a spoof to say "this is an email from someone you know" and thus spreads fairly rapidly. Just about anybody who had a website may find that they have received email from firewalls rejecting supposed emails send from admin@your-domain.com. They probably were not sent from your mail box. They were sent from other mailboxes. No sfsw.net client has an email address called admin so you can be sure that if you receive email from admin@sfsw.net it is not from us.

Some of our clients use very little webspace, so we do the decent thing, and offer multi hosting using sub domains. So they can increase the hits to their site, they can add on membership.site.co.nz as well as www.site.co.nz.
Now the marketing host is accepting new hits only as your repeat business is directed onto a higher bandwidth prestige platform where web services can function.

Posting your webpages with FTP
With a huge pile of photographs, a long history and a need to put up many "rooms" on their website, it was a more expensive excercise for the client to pay us an hourly rate to maintain their web presence. So we suggested they maintain it themselves and now provide them with a hosting only service.
